Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

The short version: timer.now is free to use, runs on your device, and stores nothing about your timers on our servers.

Privacy

Your timer settings stay on your device

• No account is required. You can use every timer without giving us a name or email address.
• Timer details stay local. Names, durations, alarm choices and themes are kept in your browser, not sent to timer.now.
• Analytics and ads are separate. Their providers may receive normal web-request data, but timer.now does not pass them your timer names or settings.

timer.now is designed to be private by default. The countdown timer runs entirely in your browser. The choices you make - The name you give a timer, whether the alarm sound is on, whether it loops, your light or dark theme - Are saved only in your own browser's local storage. This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

We do not require an account or ask for personal information to use the timer. We use Clicky to measure page views and traffic sources so we can improve the site. We may also display advertising through Google AdSense. These services can receive ordinary web-request information and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. They do not receive your timer names, durations or settings from timer.now; those values stay in your browser.

For more information about how Google handles data on sites that use its services, read Google's partner sites policy. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect preferences and advertising.

Cookies & local storage

What your browser remembers

We use your browser's local storage to remember your timer and preferences between visits. This supports features such as session restore and your theme choice. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings; doing so resets those preferences. Analytics and advertising providers may also set or read cookies according to their own policies and your browser or consent settings.

Terms of use

timer.now is provided free of charge, "as is", for personal and commercial use. While we work hard to keep the timer accurate and reliable, we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it should not be relied upon as the sole safeguard for anything safety-critical. Always use an appropriate dedicated device where accuracy is essential.

You agree not to misuse the service or attempt to disrupt it for others. We may update these terms or the site's features from time to time; continued use means you accept the current version.
