The timer.now Team

The timer.now Editorial Team is the organizational byline for the people who build, test and document this browser timing toolkit.

What we do

We build and test the timing tools on this site - The countdown timer, the Pomodoro timer, the interval timer, the stopwatch and the rest - And we write the guides that help you use them well. Everything is free, with no account and no download.

About the Collective Byline

“The timer.now Editorial Team” is a collective organizational byline, not a fictional person. Individual contributor names are not currently published. We therefore mark the author as an Organization in structured data and will identify a named reviewer on any page that receives specialist review rather than inventing personal credentials.

Our editorial standards

These are the rules we hold ourselves to, so the site stays worth trusting:

  • We test what we ship. Timer changes are checked against the system clock for start, pause, resume, reset, zero and reload recovery. The accuracy methodology and browser limitations state what the page can and cannot guarantee.
  • We write in plain English. Guides are written and edited in-house and aimed at a general reader - No jargon for its own sake.
  • We cite real sources. When guidance depends on research, health advice or safety standards, we link the primary study or an authoritative public body so you can check it - As in our nap guide and interval-training guide.
  • We date substantive updates. Guides show their publication and modification dates, and tool documentation is revised when behaviour changes.
  • We fix mistakes. If something is wrong or unclear, tell us and we'll correct it. Accuracy beats speed.

Privacy first

Your timers run on your device, and your settings live in your own browser - Nothing about your countdowns is sent to us. More detail is on our privacy page.
