timer.now is a browser timing toolkit for opening, sharing and embedding countdowns, with specialist modes for intervals, visual time, presentations and focus.
What we make
The core tool is a full-screen countdown that runs in your browser without an account or app. Choose a curated duration, enter your own time, share a configured page or generate an iframe embed. Dedicated modes handle jobs a plain countdown does not, including automatic work/rest phases, multiple timers and presentation colour cues.
Why it's different
- Accurate by design. The countdown is anchored to your device's real clock, so delayed display updates correct when the page resumes. Our timer accuracy page explains the method and browser-alarm limits.
- Private by default. Everything runs on your device. Your timer names and settings live only in your own browser - Nothing is sent to a server.
- No account barrier. Full-screen, alarm, pause, loop and dark mode are available without registration.
- Resilient when already loaded. An open timer can continue without a connection; opening an uncached page or asset may still require internet access.

Whatever you're timing, we want the tool to disappear and let you get on with it. How we work
Tools and guides use a collective organizational byline. We do not publish individual contributor names, so we document what is tested and avoid implying personal credentials we cannot substantiate.
- We test the tools we ship. Timer changes are checked against the system clock for start, pause, resume, reset, zero and reload recovery. Browser audio limitations are documented separately rather than hidden.
- Our guides are written to be genuinely useful. The blog is written and edited in-house, in plain English, and reviewed for accuracy. Where an article makes a factual claim, we point to a reputable source so you can check it yourself.
- We date substantive updates. Guides show publication and modification dates. Tool documentation is revised when its behaviour or limitations change.
- We correct mistakes. If something is wrong or unclear, tell us and we'll fix it. Accuracy matters more to us than shipping fast.
